Matcha Shot

The base of most matcha drinks.

Think of a matcha shot as the equivalent of an espresso shot in coffee drinks. For example, an iced latte will have ice, milk, and a shot (or two) of espresso. In the same way, an iced matcha latte will have ice, milk, and a shot (or two) of matcha.

Here is how we like to make a standard matcha shot at Central Matcha:

Ingredients:

  • 4 grams of matcha (We love our Classic Matcha!)
  • 1.5 ounce filtered water

Directions:

  1. Add matcha to bowl or cup
  2. Add filtered water
  3. Whisk or shake for 15 seconds or until clump free!

Notes: Matcha and water ratios may be adjusted up or down to taste. Matcha will typically fall between 2 and 6 grams; water will be 1.5 to 2.5 ounces.
